The Sinking Sun (Zapadající slunce) evokuje současnou legendu o příchodu Mesiáše a apokalyptická varování před hrůzami války, zasazená do atmosféry politické krize a společenského rozkladu.

The video could be read as a parabel of today‘s Israel. Facing their inner weakness, the inhabitants of "The Colony" display interest in their defense against an external enemy. The work refers to an environmental phenomenon called "Colony Collapse Disorder"; a syndrome characterized by a sudden mass exodus of adult honey bees from their hive, leaving their queen and the young behind.

In The Green Shadow the character of the migrant worker relates to the images of the uprooted olive trees. During the recent years thousands of olive trees were uprooted by the Israeli army in order to make place for building the separation wall and expanding of settlements. Those olive trees, that belong to Palestinian farmers were re-planted in order to decorate the public spaces in Israel.

The Sinking Sun evokes an urban legend, framed by rumors of the arrival of the Messiah and apocalyptic warnings of a horrific war, set in an atmosphere of politcal crises and social decay.
